I am passionate about bringing people together to share the joy of being on the water and to explore the beauty of nature from a unique perspective.

While having fun and learning the skills of sailing you may not notice that you are also gaining confidence, improving your risk assessment, value judgement, and communication skills.

Nipissing Sailing Academy is a Transport Canada approved recreational boating school registered with Ontario Sailing and Sail Canada. Certifications are internationally recognized.

Sail Canada Basic Cruising Course (28 hours)

$850

Objective: Little or no experience required (adults only)

To be able to cruise safely in familiar waters as both skipper and crew of a sloop rigged keelboat of 6 to 10 meters with an outboard or inboard motor in moderate wind and sea conditions by day. The focus of this standard is on the development of basic sailing and seamanship skills as well the knowledge needed to make the decisions expected of a skipper. CLICK FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Introduction to Sailing (3 hours)

Objective: No experience required (not suitable for children under 12 years old)

Enjoy a morning, afternoon or evening sail on beautiful Lake Nipissing. You will have the opportunity to experience the joys of sailing as your skipper shows you the ropes while preparing to leave the dock, while underway, and when returning to dock. CLICK FOR MORE INFORMATION.
